# Mirae Invoice: a free invoice maker for freelancers

You finished the job. Now you have to bill for it, and that usually means a spreadsheet template, a calculator and a PDF export that never looks the same twice. We built [Mirae Invoice](https://invoice.miraestudio.id) for that moment. You pick a client, list what you did, publish, and send the PDF on WhatsApp or email. It takes about two minutes and it is free.

## Who it is for

Freelancers and small business owners in Indonesia who are not accountants and often not technical. It works on a phone and at 360 pixels wide, because a lot of invoices get made between other things.

There is no accounting vocabulary in it. Amounts are in Rupiah, formatted properly and added up for you.

## How to make an invoice

1. **Pick who you bill.** Save a client once. Next time it is one tap, and you can add a new client without leaving the invoice.
2. **List what you did.** A title, a price, a quantity. Add details under a line if the client needs them. A discount and a tax line, PPN by default, apply to the whole invoice.
3. **Check the total.** It adds itself. The invoice number and due date are already filled in.
4. **Sign and publish.** Draw your signature once and reuse it. Payment instructions and a line for the client to sign are there if you want them.
5. **Download, send, mark it paid.** You get one PDF. When the money lands, mark the invoice paid and see what is still owed.

## A link the client can open

Every published invoice has a share link. Anyone with the link can view the invoice and download the PDF without an account. The page is never indexed by search engines, and you can replace the link at any time.

You also see when the link was opened: the time, whether it was the page or the PDF, and a rough device such as “Phone · Chrome”. Nothing that identifies the reader is stored, and the reader is told that the sender can see opens. Your own opens and link previews are not counted.

## If you already have an invoice format

This part is for people who already have their own invoice format. Profile → Advanced has a page editor. You move blocks such as the logo, address, bill-to, dates, totals and signatures into rows, set their width, alignment and text size, and choose one of three fonts.

A saved layout is frozen into each invoice when you publish it. Changing the layout later does not change invoices you have already sent.

## English and Indonesian

The app runs in both languages and each invoice carries its own. You can work in English and bill in Indonesian, or the other way round, and the PDF is in your client's language.

## Ask your AI assistant to do it

Mirae Invoice has an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can work in your account once you sign in and allow it. You can ask for a draft (“Invoice PT Maju Jaya for 3 days of design at 2.5 juta a day”), ask who still owes you, or have an invoice marked paid.

- Sign-in is OAuth. The first call opens a browser where you log in and allow access. There is no API key to paste.
- You choose whether the assistant may change invoices or only read them.
- An assistant can read, draft, publish and mark paid. It can move things to Trash, but permanent delete stays in the app.
- You can disconnect it at any time in Profile.

## What it costs

Nothing, for now. There are no plans, no trial clock and no card. Invoices and clients are unlimited and the PDF has no watermark. We are early and would rather people use it than price it. If that changes, you will hear it from us first, and your invoices stay yours.

## Who made it

Mirae Invoice is designed and built by [MiraeStudio.id](https://miraestudio.id), a small independent design and development studio in Indonesia. Websites for clients are most of [our work](https://miraestudio.id/#work). This is one of our own products, made the same way: design and code by the same people. We use it ourselves: the studio’s own invoices are made in it.

## Questions

### Is Mirae Invoice really free?

Yes, for now. Unlimited invoices and clients, no watermark on the PDF and no card. If pricing is ever added, existing users hear first and keep their invoices.

### Do I need an account to make an invoice?

No. You can make, publish and download one as a guest. Guest data is deleted within 24 hours unless you save it to a free account.

### Can I add tax and a discount?

Yes. Both apply to the whole invoice, not to single lines. The tax line is PPN by default.

### Does my client need an account to see the invoice?

No. Send the share link or the PDF. The share page lets them view the invoice and download the PDF.

### Which AI assistants work with it?

Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients such as Cursor. Add the server address https://invoice.miraestudio.id/api/mcp, sign in, and choose read-only or read and write.

### What languages does it support?

English and Indonesian. The app and each invoice can be set separately.
