The Well-being Champions Network describes itself as Singapore’s largest network for workplace mental health and well-being. Its Community of Practice is at community.wellbeingchampions.sg. It is not built by MiraeStudio.id. It is built by Kaleidoscope.sg, the platform it runs on.

Our part is one person. Nathanael, a partner at MiraeStudio.id, has worked on it since July 2024 as a member of Kaleidoscope’s engineering team, which Adrian leads as CTO.

What the Community of Practice is

A place where well-being champions sign in to find each other and learn. Today it has:

  • Communities, each with its own posts, events, resources and members.
  • Events to discover and register for across the platform.
  • Resources: articles, deep dives, explainers and podcasts.
  • Learning journeys and structured programmes.
  • Courses for an institution, with a test before and after, and a view for that institution’s champion.
  • Direct messages and a notification centre.

Our part in it

Nathanael works on the web app members use and on the API behind it, as one engineer among Kaleidoscope’s own. The product, its direction and the decisions about it are Kaleidoscope’s. Between July 2024 and October 2026 his part comes to more than 1,300 commits across the web app and the API.

What he has worked on

  • The feed: posts, comments, reactions, friends, trending topics and trending communities.
  • Learning: quests, programmes, the mood tracker and trophies on the profile.
  • Courses for institutions: joining by invite link or QR code, the test before and after, the report, the champion’s view, and guided walkthroughs for the training home.
  • One-to-one chat in real time, and the queue admins use to moderate it.
  • The supporters marketplace: listings, booking, session pages, rescheduling and supervision.
  • Payments: paid sessions through Stripe Checkout, supporter onboarding and weekly payouts through Stripe Connect, profile boosts, vouchers and promo codes, and tiered pricing.
  • AI roleplay tasks inside quests, with GenVoice: consent and starting a session.
  • Sign-in: email-first signup, login links by email and automatic token refresh.
  • Admin: users, feature flags, Time Credits and activity logs.

Before the code

Nathanael wrote most of the product documents the team builds from: feature concepts, requirement documents, sprint plans, and the thinking on how the platform earns, which became paid sessions, boosts and vouchers.

Where it stands

His first change went in on 11 July 2024. The work is ongoing.
